How It Works
Going solar on your existing equipment is simpler than you think. No full-home system, no contractor circus — just a direct connection to the unit you already own.
Two paths. Same result: lower bills or zero bills.
Every kit we offer follows the same core process — we size the system to your equipment, ship everything you need, and walk you through the connection. Whether you're going hybrid (cut the bill) or fully off-grid (eliminate it), here's exactly what happens.
Cut your bill — stay connected to the grid
Solar powers your unit during peak hours. When the sun's out, your equipment runs free. At night or on cloudy days, it falls back to the grid automatically. No batteries required.
Eliminate your bill — cut the cord entirely
Solar panels charge a battery bank that powers your unit around the clock. No grid connection needed for that unit. Zero utility cost, 100% independent.
The Process
Pick Your Kit
Browse our kits by equipment type — HVAC, mini split, window AC, or pool pump. Each kit is built around a 2 kW solar system sized for residential equipment. Not sure which fits? Send us your info and we'll tell you.
Send Us Your Equipment Info
After you select a kit, fill out the short quote form with your unit's make, model, and amperage. We verify compatibility before anything ships — if your unit won't work with the kit, we'll tell you upfront.
We Configure & Ship
Once we confirm compatibility, we configure your kit to match your unit's specs and ship everything to your door. In Arizona? Professional installation is available as an add-on — just ask when you order. Every kit includes solar panels, micro inverter, mounting hardware, and wiring — everything needed for the connection.
Connect & Power Up
Your kit arrives ready to connect directly to your existing equipment. No full electrical overhaul, no new panel required. Follow the included wiring guide or have a local electrician make the final connection — most installs take a few hours.
Start Saving
Hybrid kits start offsetting your bill from day one. Off-grid kits with battery storage eliminate the utility cost for that unit entirely. No contracts, no monthly fees — just free energy from the sun.
Every kit includes everything you need
A Note on Installation
We strongly recommend hiring a licensed, professional electrician or electrical contractor to perform the final installation of your kit. Electrical work carries real risk — a qualified professional ensures the connection is safe, code-compliant, and done right.
We also want to be transparent: the installation method used in our kits is not the manufacturer's recommended procedure for connecting solar and inverters to existing HVAC, mini split, or pool equipment. What we've developed is a tested, field-proven approach that we've used ourselves and refined over time. We believe it's a smarter, more economical way to put solar to work on equipment you already own — but it's important you understand it falls outside standard manufacturer guidance.
By purchasing and installing a Switch N Hybrid kit, you acknowledge that you've read this notice and are proceeding with that understanding.
